The reality of the day is at times not easy.
There have been many days when we
feel beyond our capacity by 8 or so in the
morning. Life with 3 children under 3 is
enough to make your head spin on a
regular basis Then, you add work and
the pressure to provide, the never-ending stacks of laundry, the football games you
don’t get to watch, keeping your car filled
with gas, trying to work out, remembering to call your friends on their birthday and
having some kind of meal each evening
to the mix, and you become dizzy.

In the midst of this seeming chaos, there is peace because of a great gift that we have been given. And it is this gift that we want to share. We have been given sight as we have sought the “life that is truly life” (1 Timothy 6:19).

While at an early age we believed in God and all that he has done for us through Jesus, walking in friendship with Father God is a fresh experience. It was a religion that we practiced but never a friendship that we discovered. We celebrate his nearness, his support, his direction and his love. We need him and have found life with him to be extravagant! The Whole Peach came as a result of this revelation. It is a way of seeing and a way of living! We celebrate it all

Favorites: Saturday morning breakfasts, four-wheeling in the Colorado mountains, connecting people, the kids’ faces after a good nap, John and John (Piper and Eldredge), getting around in new cities with Karla, meeting a need, long dinners, King David, Starbucks grande coffee with one Equal, tight relationships, Darrell Evans, Fernando Ortega and Kevin Walker, John 4 in the Bible, Skiing with Karla, my Trek bike, reading at night, seeing people growing and experiencing God, a run through River Legacy Park,
college football on a Saturday in the fall, 11:11, “investing in
relationships,” shooting baskets with Carson, sitting on my front porch, Whole Earth Provision Co. and Brooks Brothers and conversations with Father.

Favorites: journaling, skiing in Colorado, watching Maya,
Ada and Carson put on a show with my hairbrushes as
microphones and sing “Blessed Be The Name of the Lord,”
the color red, Pappasito’s chips and hot sauce, Grace in
Ungracious Places, the view from my kitchen table, going
on dates with Ron, the movie 1492, Psalm 84, Dallas Willard, when no one wakes up before 7 in the morning, the book of Hosea in the Bible, the Incredibles, Smoking Loon, Amy’s poetry book Whispered Treasures, dessert at Kathleen’s, myheartleaps.com, Fernando Ortego and Chris Rice, my Keen shoes, a quiet moment, when the kids choose the good choice, C.S. Lewis, dinners with friends at my kitchen table, Carson’s eyes, Maya’s hugs, Ada’s laugh, when Kevin sings “Show Yourself,” the cycling class at the YMCA and butterflies!
